Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design a state-of-the-art graph database solution that can handle complex relationships and scale to meet the growing needs of our organization
- Evaluate and select the most suitable graph database technology (e.g., Neo4j) based on our specific requirements and use cases
- Lead the engineering team in Medellín in the development and implementation of the new software system, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed
- Optimize query performance, database structure, and data modeling to ensure efficient and fast data retrieval and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Continuously explore and evaluate new graph database technologies and techniques to keep our solution at the forefront of innovation
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the engineering team
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on graph databases and their applications in complex, large-scale systems
- Deep expertise in graph database technologies, preferably Neo4j, and a strong understanding of graph theory and its practical applications
- Strong proficiency in AWS infrastructure and Python programming, with the ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions
- Experience in building highly configurable and customizable systems, with a focus on search and knowledge management domains
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with our global team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in graph databases, AWS, or other related technologies
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques applied to knowledge management
